Did anything unexceptionally unlucky happen to you?
Well.... Nothing odd happen today other than I think I'm temporaily possessed!
Boss put up an ad about the office leasing... & the phone just rings the whole damn day.
Amazingly... I was so articulate & vocal today. Even when somebody (Oh... her name was Nokiah?! BTW) came to view the office, I found myself
Somemore, when the ex-tenant came back for his letters. I was actually making a conversation! Considering that I hardly talk loudly for the past year (Yes... i have worked close to a year), today's strange behavior even caused next door "Dorothy" to raise her eyebrows when she came out to clear her rubbish. Even she finds it weird.
I think I'm just bored & was glad that to find someone to talk. I have a 'FUN' time calling OCBC & FedEx because I made a BooBoo with a cheque. Previously i had call experiences with M1, Singtel, UPS.
I conclude that OCBC & M1 Customer service are the better ones. M1 scored big time from me because OCBC made me wait for so long with the " you call is very important to us" because a pretty voice finally pick up. M1 is good as I dun have to press 1 press 2 one hundred times before I get connected to the operator. They get you to indicate your mobile # right from the beginning so that the CSO has all your account ready by the time they picked up your call. & u get to rate the service viz sms after that. It's all about initiative.
FedEx is not bad too. They got cool waiting music. Elton John if i didn't remember wrongly. But their billing system is so lousy that I always have to call & clarify. If they have a one bill system like UPS, I don't even have to pick up the phone. Once I called for parcel pick up & for the 2nd time they forgot to update the address. It's been closed to 10yrs since my boss shifted!
I called UPS for a pick-up ... short, sweet, straight to the point. Nothing unnecessary. Efficient! But the lack of human touch just doesn't score with me. I don't even know when to put down the phone.
After commenting so much, I have save the 'best" for the last.
Yes... Singtel CSV SUX BIG TIME!!!
Not to mention the fact that I called the corporate sales line, enquiry about the broadband. Hello!!! It's business for you leh. The girl sounds like she just woke up from bed & she took my call on her way to the washroom. Lethargic sounding, unenthusiatic. I tried talking in broken english to irritate her further. Apparently, she got irritated! Haaha... anyway show some professionalism leh. Even if your plan was some fantastic, cannot-be-missed, unreasonably GOOD deal (which the plan was not), i won't even encourage my boss to take it up. Bleh...
Seems like it's all about phone calls today.
Synovate called just now for a survey. S=Surveyor, Me is me.
It seems i was very close to his quota group until he ask this:
S: "So are you between 25-29?"
Me: " No."
His response was really exagerrating ok.
S: "What! you are not 25-29? is it 30?"
(nope.. he was not disppointed that I didn't hit his quota group, shocked is more of the word)
Me: "NOOoo... I'm 22"
S: "OMG... You sound so mature, like you've been working for a long time. I thought you are between 25-29."
Me: (not knowing what to say) Erm... ok... well... erm.... (weak laugh)
S: Hmm... so got anyone who can help?
Me: Erm... i don't think so. The one who picked up the phone is only 6.
[OK... here's the issue. Jamie is already EIGHT, I don't know why I keep registering her age as SIX?!! maybe she is too childish/stupid?! or I'm in self-denial. Hahahah!!!]
S: ok... thank you very much.
Me: You're welcome. [Once again, in my eh-hem well accented English]
Hahaha!!!! Oh well... Black Friday. =)
